Deep Blue Sea Diving

The great thing about Dubai is easy access to the beach. A 20-minute drive to the nearest open beach along Jumeirah Beach Road. I accompanied Yohann for his open beach scuba diving training conducted by Deep Blue Sea Diving.

This is not a sponsored post. I'm just happy to write about these guys. They are lots of fun and much as they have been convincing me to do a tank test dive, I would have to pass. (Scuba diving remains my biggest fear) For now, I'll vicariously enjoy the waters through my husband,  watching him disappear out into the sea, while I read a book under the sun or under the moon (he also does night dives).

I recently discovered that here in Jumeirah Open Beach, apart from the nice jogging path there's a small cycling track as well. There's an available bicycle rental from Byky.  It is open from 9:30AM to 11:30 PM.
Bike rental costs range from:    All are subject to AED 50 ($14) deposit
  • Single person bicycle rental for 30 minutes -  AED 20  ($ 6)
  • Bike for two persons rental for 30 minutes -  AED 30  ($ 9)
  • Family bike for four rental for 30 minutes  - AED 40 ($ 11)
  • Family bike for six rental for 30 minutes - AED 50 ($ 14)
Happy Thursday!
XOXO,
Arni

  2. This is probably quite ignorant of me but I had no idea that Dubai was so close to such a pretty beach! I'd love to go diving too but I am once again a big chicken (I only recently got the hang of snorkelling without drowning)!

  4. Beautiful!! I am also terrified of the open sea and under water (and to think that when I was a child I wanted to be a dolphin trainer!)

  5. I'm terrified of scuba diving as well, I can barely handle snorkeling - but I've grown to quite love it! So I continue to brave it.

Beautiful photographs, that beach looks AMAZING.

  6. I want to try scuba diving but I don't know how to swim haha. Someone told me that you don't need to know how to swim to scuba dive but I think that's a myth. Either way your hubby looks like he's having fun. Have a lovely weekend!
