Fun with the Sand

Al Mamzar Beach, Dubai
Hello everyone! It's the first weekend where the house is quiet.  Last Friday, our day was filled up with planned  family activities and one of them was an afternoon at the beach.  A beach mat, a kindle enjoying the sun, clear water and the beach park. The scent of barbecue all around us. Despite having a heavy lunch, the smell of grilled kebabs were making us look forward to dinner. I found these snapshots of my niece and nephew preoccupied with sand.

My niece is crazy about sand. She has her own sand box in France. I remember we often played, throwing sand at each other, at her sand box during my visits to her home. If not sand, we'd spray water from her inflatable pool. So I wasn't surprised when she immediately got busy, with her cousin on board.

Looking at these pictures make me smile so I thought of sharing them here.

Have a great weekend!
XOXO,
Arni

  2. Oh that looks so perfect!! I am immediately dreaming of summer!

And your niece is so sweet!

Yes, the town was indeed beautiful (from what I have seen so far) and I am curious how it goes with the Lent -- because it is my first one :) Ohh, giving up media (or in your case FB) is a fantastic idea too! I just love the concept of going without something for 7 weeks, no matter what it would be for different people!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
Love from across the big pond!

  3. What a fantastic time! The thought of the smell of BBQ all around makes my mouth water! And watching kids in a giant sandbox is about as fun as it gets. :)
