Dali Dali Korean Food & Happiness

Looking for a great place to eat in Coron, Palawan? Try Dali Dali, it's a small Korean joint with one of the best Kimchis I've ever had and a mouth watering selection of Korean dishes. It was so good that I had lunch there two days in a row.

Meal I tried the first day:  Bulgogi, marinated beef dish
Clockwise L-R:  Interior / Accessories / Yummy Kimchi (spicy fermented cabbage)
Kimchi, Korea's iconic food and national treasure is one of the world's healthiest foods. Made from cabbage, garlic, vinegar, salt and seasonings, it's fermented for 3-4 months.

I am a big fan of this cuisine. We were lucky to have the owner/ chef personally prepare the meals that day. Bibimbap is what I had during my second visit. It's white rice topped with egg, vegetables with your choice of either beef or tofu served warm in a bowl.  It's a great place for vegetarians.

Will I go back there again?
Yes, definitely. Food is very good. The restaurant is clean, air-conditioned and the owner and his staff are really friendly.

Is the price reasonable?
Yes. A bowl of bibimbap at the time of visit is Php 250 (US$ 7 / Eur 5).

It's time for Day 14  Story of My Life Challenge:  Ten Things that Make You Really Happy
  1. Being with Yohann (my husband).
  2. Great Food! (like the bibimbap above) Enjoying a heartwarming meal with dear friends and family.
  3. Travel and adventure.
  4. Books.
  5. Hot Black Coffee with dark chocolate.
  6. Scent of freshly cut grass. Nature. Walks in the Countryside
  7. Making people happy.
  8. Writing. (blogging)
  9. Music.
  10. A clean and lovely home filled with laughter, love and joy.

That's it for today. On a side note, we've been visiting several places around here. The island is far too expensive than we've ever imagined and could ever afford, that my husband casually referred to Coron as eldorado. Most of the lots have been purchased already. There are remote areas that are worth beyond what we've saved up for. If we don't find anything during our visit, then we're most probably not meant to be here. I'll continue searching. I still have seven more days.

Name ten things that make you really happy.

Happy Tuesday!

  4. I LOVE korean food. I can't have kimchi cold now due to the pregnancy so the other day I made a big serve of kimchi soup to get my fix. It was delicious.
