Land Hunt

A blog post of pictures during my real estate search with notes sent to my husband overseas. I got to visit 8 sites per day, trekking in forest lands, after which I prepared reports for each everyday, while he reviewed my proposals. Price, area, location, pros and cons, land status etc. filled up my days. These were just a few of them and the ones that were beyond our budget. :)

Missing Dubai....

    1. Hi Meghan, yes we have. We have found the right spot, a small piece of land not far from town and have closed the deal. Now it's time to go back to Dubai to work and save for construction costs. Didn't expect land prices to escalate that much since our last visit 2 years ago.

  5. 8 sites per day sounds like hard work! So good that you already found the perfect site. But I see that you're actually beginning from scratch, with just land and having to plan the building and construction works, that's an even tougher job!

I've always been curious about Dubai and it looks really alluring in your photos. I felt I was missing a swimming-pool to lounge for a while when I saw that photo of Dubai - even though later I realised that this is more an ornamental pond than a swimming-pool :)

    Have a lovely day x

    1. Hi Irene, yes it will be planning, building and landscaping from scratch. The feasibility study and document processing of whatever we're going to do and the approvals in various sectors of the government are overwhelming. The construction bit is the most exciting. :) Dubai has lots of man-made ponds like those. It never ceases to amaze everyone by how grand most structures are.
