Au Moulin Gourmand

Every morning after breakfast, I push the stroller and enjoy a 2 kilometer walk to buy freshly made baguette. On our way to the rose garden, I spotted this boulangerie and asked the family if we could try their bread one day. It wasn't the usual bakery they were buying from but for a change, why not? So off we went and ordered un Pain ordinaire, un Pain de Chef et une baguette a l'ancienne. O la la...what we got was a crunchy on the outside, melt in your mouth goodness.

Au Moulin Gourmand is along the same street as the rose garden.  Their pain ordinaire costs about 1.10 and Pain de chef at 1.15.   They have amazing selections of pastries, chocolate, ciders, paninis and sandwiches, cakes even made to order ones and they also have roasted chicken that we have yet to try. You should see their collection of macarons. Their nicely decorated interior and lovely staff make it a pleasure to visit everyday.

  4. in my country bakeries sell only bread, bagels, pretzels, buns....just savoury pastries, not the cakes and sweet things, I was surprised to hear that UK and US don't really ahve them
