Happy Walk Series France: A Sandy Hike

Today, we will explore a longer walk and a more difficult one. This circuit is called "Les Bourbes" that starts at Aire de La Tantouille.  It is a 6.3 km walk with inclined paths and lots of it are sand. It was not very easy with a stroller but it is definitely a good leg workout.  The positives points of this circuit are the possibilities to explore a forest, a beach and a swamp and the tranquility you'll get from the absence of bikes.

You can download the map here along with instructions. I started this Happy Walk Series because it's an awesome cure for blues while I was surrounded by an uplifting energy within the greens.  I've decided to complete the circuits within the region of Les Sables d'Olonne, France.

Hike starts here.
There are picnic benches and a parking lot
I stopped to listen to the sound of wind caught within the pine branches and birds singing

and give it a voice far beyond singing.
For to miss the joy is to miss all."

We struggled with the stroller from time to time. I do advise, a baby carrier is more practical here. Unfortunately, we forgot ours at home. We also started the hike quite late and had to drive across town to pick up my nephew from school so we ended up running a quarter of the circuit. Apart from that, I enjoyed the walk and my blues were gone. I looked up and found these beautiful blooms on the tree. It was nature's way of saying, " Don't worry, we're here any time and we got your back."
