Care for a cup of tea? When I received a phone call from a friend spending her free (non-working) day at Dubai Mall, I impulsively left whatever I was doing and drove 40 km to get there. After a sumptuous steak lunch at Texas Roadhouse, we continued strolling the wide alleys of the mall. TWG Tea Salon & Boutique came into view. I remember a post by Ms. Bobochic about it. My friend, Tintin and I looked at each other and agreed, happy to finally sit down and enjoy a cup of tea here at TWG Tea Salon & Boutique--something we, both, have always wanted to do.
TWG Tea Salon & Boutique |
TWG, the finest luxury tea brand in the world has the largest collection of fine harvest teas. TWG stands for The Wellness Group, established in Singapore, a luxury concept that incorporates an international distribution network to professionals with original retail outlets.Sitting inside their exquisite tea room is a glamorous experience. With thin tea cups, beautifully designed to enjoy each sip. We perused their long tea list. They offer over 800 single estate fine harvest teas and exclusive blends. We wanted to try everything, but decided to settle for two teapots; one green tea and one black tea.

1837 Signature Black Tea |
I ordered the popular 1837 TWG Signature black tea. A tea blend of red berries, caramel and star anise. (I'm a black coffee drinker) Some say it's strong, but for me it has a subtle and sweet taste. It was smooth, refined, and a great tea to drink to feel good.

I so love tea salons! And this one looks so sophisticated! Isn't it such a difference of those fresh teas compared to those ones in the supermarket? I am always astonished by their exceptional taste! Do they also sell their teas there so that you could take some home?

Hi Svenja, what sets them apart are the infused flavors from their exclusive blends. Great news is-- yes, they do, I forgot to mention that the other side (behind the counter in the image) is a boutique where they sell packaged teas that you can enjoy at home as well as pastries and other tea items and accessories.
DeleteCan you believe I have never been to a tea salon (and I live in the land of tea drinkers)! This place looks wonderful! I have never been a big tea drinker but I think I would make an exception for this place.
