Shibuya Crossing

Long before when social distancing was non-existent, our trip to Japan wasn't complete without experiencing the Shibuya Crossing.

Fascinated by the vibrant sights and sounds of the popular scramble crossing, my gregarious daughter was in awe. So were we.  After taking a quick peek of the Hachiko Statue, we crossed the intersection along with hundreds of pedestrians.

After crossing several times and sight seeing around in a maze of restaurants and shops, our hungry stomachs led us to this building filled with shops and restaurants for an evening of Katsu -usually a breaded chicken fillet or pork cutlets, deep fried into golden brown goodness along with a sticky japanese rice and some side dishes. The kids were definitely pleased!

Here's a souvenir family portrait at Shibuya Crossing. This is one of the places that I would like to teleport to right now, if possible.

How did your week unfold?
Love & light,
Arni

  1. The kid was obviously ecstatic, daddy not so much :) How is he coping with living fulltime in a totally different culture and country?

    1. Oh she was indeed. Haha, he's not much of a city guy but he wanted to experience Shibuya Crossing. He likes living in the Philippines and feels right at home. There are a few things that he gets annoyed with still, but overall, he seems to be happy.

    1. I am craving for Katsu and a good bowl of ramen right now. She loves the city and is always fascinated by the lights and the trains.
