One Perfect Breakfast

If there is one thing to be happy about where I live, is that avocado season is back.  This is a photograph of my ideal breakfast one beautiful morning in Japan last year.  This week's posts will be all about Japan.

My sister made poached eggs, something that I haven't attempted making yet and she served them with avocados and cherry tomatoes.  A cup of black coffee and we were all set to explore the streets of Tokyo.

 What about you?
What is your ideal breakfast?

I am curious which food lights up your morning.

  1. Would you believe that I've never had avocado in my life :)
Since I'm a vegetarian I usually freshly grind six different seeds, a teaspoon of each, sesame, chia, sunflower, pumpkin, flax, almond, and mix them with some moringa powder and a spoon of coconut oil and use that as a spread over some rye bread. This way I take all possible minerals, vitamins and important substances, as seeds are extremely rich with them. But generally, people in my country eat bread and pastries for breakfast as we are the breadbasket of Europe and eat bread daily unlike USA who base their diet on cereals. In my country almost every block has its bread bakery and you go early in the morning to buy fresh bread, buns, bagels, crescents etc.

    1. Really? :) I wonder if you'd like avocado once you try it. Your breakfast is really healthy, That's a lot of seeds! Great idea about the moringa powder mixed with all the seedy goodness. I would like to visit your country one day. I am fascinated to learn and experience your region. I have never been.

  2. I'm not a breakfast eater (coffee only) but bacon, sausage, and eggs = perfection to me!
