Tinuy-an Falls

Today I'd like to share a trip to a majestic waterfall after visiting the Enchanted River. Tinuy-an Falls, 180 feet plunge down three cascading falls in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, Philippines.  Often referred to as Little Niagara. 

Most of the natural attractions and destinations in the Philippines are scattered, and to get to each of them is often a challenge equivalent to 6 or more hour journey by land, sometimes by boat after taking plane rides. The rough and never ending journey adds to the excitement and anticipation, reaping a reward of self fulfillment and accomplishment as soon as you get there.


A short climb to the upper level of the falls, dripping wet, taking a shower under the rain, it was a splendid experience.  No glam moments during this trip. Messy mousy hair and soaking clothes.  Despite the long trip to get to this place, it was well worth it.
