Miraflores
How's your Tuesday going? A trip to Miraflores is our post for today. Here is an excerpt from my travel journal during our trip to the affluent part of Lima.

"Miraflores is right at the coastal edge of Lima resting peacefully overlooking Pacific Ocean. It's a romantic lookout surrounded by couples passionately kissing in public and paragliders in the sky. It's considered the wealthy community of Lima.
We took a local bus from Central Lima to get there. We walked a lot here! We strolled from one end to the other along the cliff past the lookouts and went down along the coast walking from that point to the other end , climbed up and went back to where we came from. I must have lost 2 kgs here. :-) We didn't notice the distance as we were immersed by the extraordinary landscape."

It's surprising to see that despite the freezing waters, there were a lot of surfers.

This is such a beautiful mall built on the cliff of Miraflores with a spectacular view from the restaurants.

It's a classic seafood restaurant at the bottom of the cliff.
Miraflores is a charming district. We even stopped at the plaza to watch old folks showing off their latin moves. They sure are great dancers! The locals were happily dancing in the park with all the weekend flea markets around. We spent the day in Miraflores before heading back to Lima at sun down. I received my luggage that evening, just in time.
Guess what we were up to next...
Have a great day!
XOXO,
Arni
